Hello Deborah
I’m Chill. Nice to write this letter to you. I was born in the year of 1999, so I’m 17 now. I am a senior high school student in China. I am taking the British Columbia course in Suzhou Industrial Park Foreign Language School. We don’t have so many courses like in Canada, we have eight courses. My favorite course is Social Studies, especially the history part. However, I hate to write essays, I really don’t know how to improve my writing. We just entered the winter holiday, the spring festival is coming, which is my favourite. I love playing badminton, I usually play with my classmates. I think doing exercises is essential to us. I like to watch English movies and Japanese animations, I can also speak Japanese, which I learnt by my self. Though, I have never been to Japan. Strictly, I was planning to go to Japan last summer. But I couldn’t find my passport when I got down the plane in Japan, it was horrible. How can I have lost it, I was sent back to China at the same day, I really regret it. What’s more, the travel agency didn’t give me any refunds. At free times I will always have my earphones on, and enjoy. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Chill
Wow! That's a really tough situation to have been in! Losing your passport is very difficult and not getting ot visit a place and then losing your flight money is very unfortunate… I'm sorry to hear all that, it makes me sad…
It is, however, good to hear from you and that's really awesome that you love social studies and history, my dad also loves those topics. Well, right now I am a 3rd year student in University and I'm studying to be a teacher for ESL and/ or elementary. I really enjoy my program and love kids and people so I know that I'm doing the right thing!
I am 20 now and since I grew up in Chengdu» 我也能说中文!I also really enjoy being active and think that exercise is extremely important for keeping healthy. It's nice to see that we agree on that.
It was very nice to hear from you and I also look forward to hearing back from you soon!
Hi, we just started our new semester. I don't understand that why the winter holiday doesn't last to 正月十五.(Since you grew up in Chengdu)
I’ve never been to Sichuan, I am looking for ward to there sometime. I heard that hot pots there are very delicious. My brother has a Chengdu girlfriend he even learnt how to speak 四川话, though we came from Shandong. People always says Sichuan has the most beautiful girls in China, is that true?
How do you spend your time during the Spring Festival? 语法错误,多多包容
不用担心,您得语法好!
Hahaha many people tell me that 四川 girls are the most beautiful, but I can't tell because some are and some aren't. (有些好丑 :P)
Although, it has been a long time since I had hot pot, I know that many people like it. I usually don't eat it because I know that later I will 拉肚子。 That part of eating hot pot is not fun…
Here we call 'Spring Festival' 'Spring break', and for most of it I just spent time with friends, some of it with my fiance's family, and some with my homework, but there was very, very little homework time.
It’s sad of hearing that, I like hot pots. How is the food in Canada? Are you used to them?
So your fiancé is a Canadian, right? I did your family think about that? Were they shocked? (无意冒犯)
Last weekend we had two essays and we also needed to prepare for the Social Studies test on Monday, it was really tired, I spent the whole night on it last Saturday. Furthermore, I was food poisoned, so I couldn’t get to work until 19 at night.
川菜 is good, in general! The food in Canada is alright, if you like this type of food. It's very different from China, and you'd have to try it to understand. I have been getting used to it, but it wasn't easy at first. My fiance is actually from Colombia, and my family likes him a lot. WHICH IS VERY GOOD. haha~
Oh no… food poisoning is so painful and uncomfortable. How are you feeling now? Better? I was also sick over the past two weeks, I had 'Mononucleosis'. This disease makes you very tired and weak, and your throat and muscles really hurt. It was not a good time. I am better now though, and I hope you feel better soon!
